must have for those taking the rn preentrance exam Passed my exam and got into the nursing program mainly due to the help of this book. I wasted so much time learning how to long hand math again but they allowed calculators ahahha. Anyway, it was good to learn either way! The hardest part was certainly the physics and chemistry portion in my opinion.Great study guide for PAX exam This book really helped me study for my nursing entrance exam. At the time I had not been in school for 9 years and I forgot how to do some of the math. It has plenty of practice test to help gauge where you are and where you need to focus. I rented the book which made the cost cheaper.Science content inadequate Took the exam today, January 19, 2017. The science section of this guide is missing topics on the current exam. Specifically, nutrition and microbiology are not covered in the review guide. Also, the test format is now different: it is 60 verbal, 40 math, and 60 science questions with 40 minutes allowed per section. So adjust your timer accordingly for the practice tests. I would review your course notes rather than get this guide, at least until they put out a new edition.
